he was challenged and not the other way around, he had the opportunity to be challenged.
they have a simple goal, even karasuma said "the you right now won't be able to beat him" and he simple replied that he knows it very well.

that'll be a lost cause if he declined it. that'll mean his character dev would be outright trash and would take longer like forever to raise his skills because he's gutless if he declined that.

this was probably one of the first reason why Mikumo's decision making was recognized.
in the future they have 2 OP broken (3 later on) and one mikumo, and most teams would try to stop mikumo first as he's the most threatening weakling they ever faced.

Well, he was being challenged by Kazama and if Osamu declined the challenge then he's lost. Even though he knew that he will lost to Kazama in battle still he accepted it, you can say that it's about self- respect or believing that he would improve and learn something from this fight.

he gets a good way of decision making but his narrow-mindedness is still a threat to them losing.
most teams would aim the weak ones because lesser number would make it easier for them but they target mikumo not because he's weak, but by being there is really a walking threat that empowers both chika and kuga and...... oh wait he's still not introduced yet :)

I'm about to finish the first season but i still plan to continue. osamu frustrates me, yes, but i still love the other aspect of this series.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! Seasons 2 and 3 are definitely better than the first season and I can only say that I want more of this series. No dragging moments unlike season 1, straight to the point and every characters are GOAT!! And the fighting scenes are *chef's kiss* I've been rewatching the two seasons for months now and I don't even get tired of it!

Hahahha this MC stays low key most of the time but never disappoints during battles! I'm adding Yuma to my Top Coolest OP MCs now. And Chika might be small but her powers is way stronger for someone her size!!! Who knows what size her trion would become if she continues to harness it (probably the soze of a tall building) No wonder she's one of the Neighbors favorite food...

It's so dumb to say Yuma is OP because he's a Neighbor (when in fact he could be either a full human born on the other side or just a half human too). The reason why he's so skilled is simply because he was trained by his own father, one of the first founders of the Borders 😐

i thought Karasuma was a cool character when I first saw him. Every episode we get to see him fooling around pretending to be serious is not cool but funny 🤣

well he was from tachikawa's team (with both tachikawa and izumi) before he went to tamakoma. so yeah his character probably were molded there, they all have the "laid-back" attitude from tamakoma.

he's actually the fastest.
as you don't get to have loads of experience before you join border.
so everybody started as a newbie.
some genius like kitora, kuroe and midorikawa were fast but on human/meeden standards it's just above 3 seconds.

and the one kikuchihara said everybody would be fast like that if they have the experienced fighting it.
